This Privacy Policy explains how MantraCounter — Mantra Chanting & Tracker ("the App") collects, uses, and protects your information. By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Introduction

MantraCounter is developed by DailyBliss. This policy covers what data the App uses, how it is stored, and your rights as a user.

2. Information We Collect

Practice data

The App stores the following data locally on your device:

• Mantra enrollments — name, deity image (selected from your device), daily target, and lifetime goal.
• Session history — date, mantra, and repetition count for each chanting session.
• Manually added past sessions entered by you.
• Statistics derived from the above (streaks, totals, averages).
• App preferences and settings.

All practice data is stored locally on your device only. It is never transmitted to any server.

Deity images

When you add a deity image to a mantra enrollment, the App reads that image from your device's storage and saves a copy within the App's local storage. The image is never uploaded or transmitted anywhere.

Subscription data

• If you purchase a subscription, Google Play processes payment information.
• The App itself does not access or store your payment details.
• Subscription status is verified locally via Google Play Billing.

Device information

• Basic technical data such as device type and operating system version may be collected to improve performance.
• Crash logs may be collected to identify and fix issues.

No personal data

The App does not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, or any other personally identifiable information.

3. How We Use Information

• To record and display your chanting sessions and history.
• To calculate and display statistics, streaks, and progress toward your goals.
• To enable backup and restore of your practice data.
• To verify subscription status through Google Play Billing.
• To improve app stability and performance.

4. Data Storage & Backup

• All practice data is stored locally on your device only using Android's secure app storage.
• No data is transmitted to or stored on any external server or cloud service.
• You can export your data as a JSON backup file at any time and store it wherever you choose (Google Drive, email, local storage).
• Backup files are plain JSON and remain under your full control.
• The App functions completely offline — no internet connection is required except for subscription purchase and verification.

5. Permissions Explained

• Storage / Media access: Required to let you select a deity image from your device's photo library when enrolling a mantra.
• Vibration: Used to provide haptic feedback at counting milestones (e.g., every 108 repetitions). No data is involved.

MantraCounter does not request location, microphone, camera, contacts, or any other sensitive permissions.

6. Data Sharing

• We do not sell, trade, or rent user information.
• We do not share any practice data with any third party.
• Subscription and payment processing are handled securely by Google Play Billing.

7. Free Trial & Subscription

MantraCounter offers a 30-day free trial with full access. After the trial period, continued access requires an annual subscription purchased through Google Play. Subscription management, cancellation, and refunds are handled entirely by Google Play in accordance with their policies. The App does not process or store any payment information.

8. Data Retention

Your practice data remains on your device for as long as the App is installed. Uninstalling the App will delete locally stored data unless you have exported a backup beforehand. We recommend exporting a backup before uninstalling or switching devices.

9. Security

All data is stored locally on your device using Android's secure app storage. No sensitive data is transmitted over the internet. The JSON backup file is unencrypted — treat it as you would any personal file and store it somewhere only you can access.

10. Children's Privacy

MantraCounter does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13. Since the App collects no personal information at all, it is safe for users of any age.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the App, on the Play Store listing, and the effective date will be updated. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
