Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 April 2026

Vedic Wisdom is designed to respect your privacy. This page explains, in plain English, what data the app uses, what it doesn't, and why.

Summary

What data the app uses

Local preferences

The app stores your preferences (such as preferred sources — Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, Vivekananda, Buddha, Kabir — widget settings, and the date of the last-shown quote) in local app storage on your device. This information never leaves your device.

Quote content

All quotes are bundled with the app itself. The app does not need internet access to function. When you update the app through the Play Store, new or revised quotes may be included with the update.

What the app does not do

Permissions explained

Vedic Wisdom requests no permissions beyond what is required for a standard home-screen widget to display on your device.

Children's privacy

Vedic Wisdom does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13. Since the app collects no personal information at all, it is safe for users of any age.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the app handles data, we will update this page and update the "Last updated" date above. For material changes, a notice will appear in the app itself.
